It's been 10 years since I last saw Christie -- way back in first year high school in the Philippines. She left for America shortly after, and I moved to New Zealand some time after that, but throughout the years, we've just kept in touch. Myspace, Friendster, and now, Facebook.
This wedding is extra special to me (as all weddings are unique) because it was quite an unbelievable journey to get there. Succinctly, I needed documents, funds, approved leave from work (yes, I still had a full-time job at this stage), and after a few weeks of preparation, it was decided. I would leave for two weeks to go to California and shoot their wedding.
We spent the night before the big day at Mario and Christie's new home in Clovis, Fresno, then we had dinner at Wassabi. Man their sushi is quite flavourful and pretty. I wish I took photos.
The 30th of May was a very joyous day. We all had brunch together, then parted ways to get ready. The sun was shining, hearts were overflowing to the brim with love! It was a magical day. I hope you all enjoy looking through the photos and experiencing the day as I did.
Mario and Maki, thank you. For everything. I can't wait to see you guys again. You have to come visit me in New Zealand some time!
